Basalt

Daily foundation stack

Strength is a foundation, not a spike.

Twelve ingredients across two formulas, taken on alternating evenings. Every dose printed on the label, and a schedule built for a full quarter rather than a week of noise.

What is in the bottle

The slope

Nothing breaks. It just gets quieter.

Men rarely notice a drop. They notice a Tuesday that costs more than it used to, then a month of them, then a year they cannot point at.

  • Recovery borrows a day

The session that used to cost one rest day now quietly costs two.

  • The last set turns optional

Nothing stops you. You simply stop arguing for it.

  • Sleep stops paying out

Eight hours in, six hours out. The arithmetic no longer works.

  • The good hour moves

Whatever time of day you used to think clearly, it keeps drifting later.

This is a slope, not an event. It is also why a two-week supply cannot meet it, and why BASALT 90 is built around a quarter.

Why two jars

Nothing you take every single day keeps landing the way it did on day one.

Two words explain the whole shape of this product. Most labels avoid both, because both admit that a jar taken thoughtlessly is a jar wasted.

  • Downregulation

Repeat the same signal every evening and the answer flattens. The ingredient did not get worse — a signal that never varies stops reading as a signal. Most people meet this as the sentence "it worked really well for the first month".

  • Micro-periodisation

The answer is not stopping. It is alternating: two formulas, neither taken two evenings running, each away long enough to still register when it comes back. Cycling without the month off — and without the month of nothing.

That is the whole reason there are two jars instead of one. FLOW and COOL are not a marketing split; they are the schedule doing the remembering for you.

Once a month the calendar hands you two FLOW evenings back to back, on the 31st and the 1st. Skip one or take it twice — a single repeated evening in ninety changes nothing, and reading the date still beats counting days.

The formula

Twelve ingredients. Two jars. Never the same night.

Tongkat and fadogia are ingredients people are told to cycle, and then left to remember it themselves.

Here the cycle is the schedule: FLOW on odd dates, COOL on even ones, and the calendar keeps the count.

FlowOdd dates

Lava, before it sets. Five botanicals worth cycling, and the one vitamin that gets an evening to itself.

  • 250 mg

    01Tongkat Ali

Eurycoma longifolia root, standardised to 2% eurycomanone. The botanical this whole category is built around.

  • 150 mg

    02Fadogia Agrestis

West African shrub, stem extract at 10:1. The one ingredient here with a short research record, which is exactly why it appears every second evening rather than every one.

  • 150 mg

    03Ashwagandha

Root extract standardised to 5% withanolides. Root only — no leaf, which is where the cheap material comes from.

  • 100 mg

    04Cordyceps

Cordyceps militaris, fruiting body rather than mycelium grown on grain, standardised for cordycepin. Cultivated — the wild kind grows out of a caterpillar and is priced accordingly.

  • 50 mg

    05Black Ginger

Kaempferia parviflora, the Thai rhizome sold as krachai dam, standardised for methoxyflavones. Not a ginger and not black until you cut it.

  • 100 mcg

    06Vitamin D3

4,000 IU as cholecalciferol. Sunlight is seasonal; a capsule is not. It sits on this evening rather than sharing one with the minerals.

CoolEven dates

The rock, after. Three minerals, the resin and the pepper extract that carry them, and one carotenoid.

  • 50 mg

    07Magnesium

Bisglycinate. The chelated form, which is why this is an evening capsule and not an argument with your stomach.

  • 15 mg

    08Zinc

Also bisglycinate. Fifteen milligrams, not the ninety you see on labels competing to look generous.

  • 3 mg

    09Boron

The trace mineral formulators argue about and most labels quietly leave out, because three milligrams look unimpressive next to a gram of something else.

  • 150 mg

    10Shilajit

Purified mineral resin from Himalayan rock, standardised for fulvic acid content. A mineral by origin, so it keeps mineral company.

  • 5 mg

    11BioPerine

Black pepper extract standardised to 95% piperine. Five milligrams whose only job is to make the rest worth listing.

  • 4 mg

    12Astaxanthin

Carotenoid from Haematococcus pluvialis, the microalga that turns salmon and flamingos pink. Fat-soluble, which is why this jar wants a meal.

One capsule per evening, with food. Amounts are per serving. Descriptions state what each ingredient is, not what it will do for you.

The protocol

Ninety days, in three parts.

Most labels tell you how you will feel on day seven. This one tells you what you are actually doing, and when it becomes reasonable to judge it.

  1. 07

    Day 7

    Bedding in

One capsule with the evening meal — FLOW on odd dates, COOL on even ones. Learning which jar the date calls for is the whole of week one. Write down anything you notice this early; just do not expect it in bloodwork or in the mirror yet, because neither moves on a seven-day schedule.

  2. 30

    Day 30

    The first honest read

Long enough to hold data instead of impressions. Pick the two or three things you actually care about — the last set, the hour you think clearly, how a rest day feels — and compare them against the note you should have written on day one. And if you never wrote one: by thirty days the mental and physical difference is not something you need a notebook to find.

  3. 90

    Day 90

    The full quarter

The window the formula is dosed for. At the end of it you decide, from your own notes and nobody else’s, whether it earned another one. That is the entire pitch.

In use

Twelve weeks, in other people's words.

Written the way people actually talk about a supplement they have been on for a season — complaints included.

  • The schedule is the whole product

I have been rotating tongkat on and off for years and always lost track by week three. Handing that job to the calendar sounds trivial until you have done it. Two jars, look at the date, done.

    Marcus Ilesanmi41 · Leeds · four mornings a week
  • Took me a fortnight to stop mixing them up

Genuinely annoying at first. I took FLOW twice in a row on a Tuesday and spent the evening irritated at a jar. Once it stuck it stopped being a decision, but the first two weeks were not the frictionless thing the site suggests.

Dan Whitlock38 · Manchester · back after a decade off
  • Week six is where it got interesting

Nothing dramatic before that. Then a fortnight where the last set stopped being a negotiation and I noticed I was not counting down the sets any more. Whatever that is, I would like it to continue.

Tobias Rehnberg46 · Gothenburg · rows and skis
  • First label I did not have to decode

Every jar I have owned hides behind a blend. This one prints the milligrams and then tells you which ingredient has the thinnest evidence. I bought it for that paragraph, honestly.

Andrés Villalta44 · Austin · lifts, mostly stubbornly
  • The evening meal part matters

Took COOL on an empty stomach for a week because I was not reading properly, and it did nothing for me. Read the instruction, took it with dinner, different story. My fault, but worth saying out loud.

Kenji Aoyagi39 · Vancouver · cyclist, reluctant lifter
  • Honest about what it will not do

I came in wanting a jolt and the site more or less told me not to expect one. That set the tone. Three months on, I train on the days I planned to and stop bargaining with the alarm, which is a duller result than an advert promises and a far more useful one.

The guarantee

Finish the quarter. If nothing changed, we buy it back.

Ninety days is how long the protocol runs, so it is how long the guarantee runs. Empty jars are not a problem — they are the point. Send them back and the money follows, without a phone call and without a form built to wear you down.

The one thing we ask is that you actually took it. A jar that spent the season in a cupboard tells neither of us anything.

Questions

The ones people actually send.

Can I take both jars on the same evening?

You can, and it would undo the reason there are two of them. The point is that neither formula arrives two evenings running. Doubling up turns BASALT 90 into an ordinary daily stack with a longer ingredient list.

What if I miss an evening?

Take whichever jar the next date calls for and carry on. Do not take two to catch up — a missed evening costs you almost nothing, and a doubled one costs you the schedule.

Do I still need to cycle off every few months?

That is what the alternation is for. Fadogia and tongkat spend every second evening absent, which is the part of a cycle that does the work. There is no month of nothing at the end of a bottle.

What is fadogia doing in here?

It is the newest thing in the jar and the ingredient people ask about most. A West African shrub, dosed at 150 mg of a 10:1 stem extract and paired with tongkat, which is how it is generally used. It sits on the FLOW evenings because that is the half of the schedule meant for what belongs in a cycle rather than in a daily habit.

Morning instead of evening?

Workable, as long as it is with a meal — half the formula is fat-soluble and needs something to travel with. Pick one time and keep it. The consistency matters more than which hour you chose.

Does it clash with creatine, protein or anything else I take?

Nothing here competes with a scoop of creatine or a shake. If you are already taking a separate magnesium, zinc or vitamin D, check the totals — the overlap is with COOL, not with FLOW.

The 31st and the 1st are both odd. Isn’t that two FLOW evenings in a row?

It is, once a month. Two ways through it and neither is wrong: skip that evening and let the parity fall back into place, or take FLOW twice and carry on. One repeated evening in ninety does not move the arithmetic either way.

When is it fair to judge whether it did anything?

Thirty days before you form an opinion, ninety before you make a decision. Bloodwork and the mirror move on their own timeline regardless of what the label promises.
